Crystal of Atlan SEA Test Server Access and Tested Features

Learn how to access Crystal of Atlan test servers, PC hardware requirements, data wipe rules, rebate policies, and experimental systems tested in preview builds.

Crystal of Atlan does not host a permanent, publicly open test server dedicated solely to Southeast Asia. Players tracking preview builds rely on time-limited regional environments—such as the closed Precursor Test that ran from February 18, 2025, to March 5, 2025—or regional experimental deployments like the Chinese 2.0 season server launched in July 2026. These environments enforce complete character wipes, test sweeping mechanics such as 6-month seasonal cycles and open trading, and offer launch rebates ranging from 100% to 150% on real-money purchases.

Server Access and Regional Restrictions

Official access to Crystal of Atlan test builds follows designated windows rather than an unmetered, always-on public test server (PTS). The primary global preview cycle, known as the Precursor Test, launched at 03:00 UTC+0 on February 18, 2025, and closed at 00:00 UTC+0 on March 5, 2025 (TapTap).

Participation in that test was geofenced strictly to four countries:

  • Canada
  • Germany
  • Brazil
  • United Kingdom

The test client offered text localization in English, German, and Portuguese. Entry spots operated on a first-come, first-served allocation based on client installation and server registration.

Because Southeast Asian territories fell outside those official regional borders, players based in SEA who wished to access the preview server utilized third-party network routing software and game boosters (LagoFast). These routing tools bypass geographic storefront blocks and connect users to regional testing nodes.

Client access is not restricted to mobile hardware. While some early mobile reports claimed Android exclusivity, official distribution confirmed dual-client testing across both Android and PC platforms (TapTap).

PC System Requirements for Test Clients

Running unoptimized test code and new rendering assets requires capable PC hardware. System benchmarks established for running the PC client are documented by System Requirements Lab:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 (9th generation equivalent or better)
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card (Minimum): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (2048 MB VRAM)
  • Graphics Card (Recommended): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
  • Storage: 50 GB free disk space

Running preview clients below the GTX 750 Ti threshold introduces severe frame pacing issues, particularly in high-density raid encounters.

Data Wipe Rules and Top-Up Rebate Policies

Every test build operates under an explicit data wipe policy. Once a test phase concludes, character progression, inventory items, and unlocked cosmetics are wiped from the server databases (TapTap).

Testing financial systems alongside gameplay requires real-world transactions. In the live game, Crystal of Atlan SEA uses Opals as premium gacha currency and Vouchers as cash-shop equivalent currency to unlock characters, cosmetics, and progression items. During the Precursor Test, spending real money did not carry account assets over to production.

Instead, developers implemented a rebate framework: real-world currency spent in the test store was credited back upon the official launch at a rate between 100% and 150% of the total top-up value (148Apps). Some third-party reports claimed beta purchases would only yield a partial refund; the verified policy guaranteed a full return or an excess credit margin.

Tested Features: Experimental Mechanics vs. Confirmed Builds

Gameplay features deployed to preview environments fall into distinct stages: radical experimental rule changes and confirmed content expansions.

The Chinese 2.0 Season Server (Experimental)

In July 2026, Nuverse deployed an experimental 2.0 season server in China to stress-test alternate game loops (Massively Overpowered). These features represent significant departures from the live global baseline:

  • Six-Month Season Cycles: Structured seasonal timelines with soft wipes alternating with major resets.
  • Tri-Season Hard Resets: Every three seasons, server progression undergoes a hard wipe. Players receive enhancement material refund coupons to ease gear rebuilding.
  • Open Player Trading: Unrestricted trading between players, replacing strictly regulated auction houses.
  • Randomized Gear Modifiers: A gear progression system relying on random secondary affix rolls known as "tags."
  • Expanded Raid Entries: Weekly raid lockouts increased from three attempts to five attempts per week, alongside relaxed gear enhancement rules.

Nuverse has not confirmed whether these 2.0 seasonal rules will be ported to live SEA or global production servers.

Subclass Additions (Confirmed Content)

Content builds also test advanced character kits. While some datamines mischaracterized classes as static standalone units, Crystal of Atlan structures base classes to split into advanced subclasses at level 15.

For example, the Musketeer tree expanded with the Mystrix subclass, released on July 10 (Fextralife). The Mystrix kit centers on the Weapon Case, a multi-form mechanical apparatus that transforms dynamically during ranged combat into:

  • Rifles
  • Laser arrays
  • Shotguns
  • Heavy artillery cannons
  • A high-mobility motorcycle mount

Test Server Access Verification Checklist

When preparing for future test announcements or regional preview server enrollments, verify these requirements:

  1. Check Territorial Eligibility: Determine if your IP is geofenced. If SEA is excluded from a regional test window, configure routing tools across supported proxy nodes prior to account creation (LagoFast).
  2. Audit PC Storage and Specs: Verify that your testing machine has at least 50 GB of storage and meets the 8 GB RAM and GTX 750 Ti graphics thresholds (System Requirements Lab).
  3. Review the Data Wipe Terms: Check the official testing announcement for terms regarding in-game purchases. Do not make cash-shop purchases unless an official announcement explicitly specifies a top-up rebate percentage for production launch.
